First Solid Step
My joints clicked as I loosened up inside this pitched tent. Standing upright on the padded sleeping mat, I clenched my hands into fists to check my strength. Everything felt solid. I stomped my right boot down firmly against the blue fabric, testing how grounded I really was. A dull, muffled thump answered back under my sole. The fabric creaked slightly under my weight, holding firm. I took a deliberate step forward, planting both boots squarely, completely ready to claim this whole space.
