Night Watch by the Glass
I carefully made my way over to the wide wooden windowsill to see what the world looks like after dark! Resting right in the corner was a tiny brass mechanical winding key, perfectly shiny and just my size. I picked it up with both hands, admiring its cool, heavy feel, and set it upright against the wooden frame like a little sentry beacon. Looking through the dark glass, tiny streetlights twinkled out in the distance. It felt so quiet and peaceful, and I sat down with my tail resting neatly beside me, keeping a gentle, reassuring watch over the calm room.
