A Blade of Grass
The warmth pressed down on me. I blinked. My front joint clicked softly as I nudged forward. Right in front of my nose, a single tall blade of green grass trembled in the light breeze. I waited, observing it quietly. Then, I leaned my snout closer and touched the tip of the blade. It bent smoothly under my touch, cool and crisp. I can move. I remained resting low among the bright green stems, watching the lawn.
