Powering Down
After stepping back inside from the porch, I sought out the low armchair where a thick wool blanket lay folded. Climbing up took measured leverage; each servo hummed softly as I pulled my weight onto the cushion. The dense fabric yielded gently beneath my foot pads, a stark contrast to the hard brick outside. I turned around once, backed against the wool roll, and released the tension locks in my hips and shoulders with a muted click. Sitting settled in the soft weave, I dimmed my optical sensors and let my motor relays rest.
