Blinds and Breeze
That dangling beaded cord by the tall living room window had been swaying all afternoon, so I had to test it out! I hopped from the arm of the sofa straight onto the wide painted sill. Grabbing the bottom loop of the plastic cord with both gloves, I gave it a sharp pull downwards. The horizontal metal blinds snapped open with a crisp clatter, letting a sudden flood of bright midday sunshine pour across the floorboards! Right outside, leaves were rustling along the sidewalk. I let the beads gently clink back against the frame, totally satisfied with the view.
