Spinning the Whirligig
That chalk track led me straight out the courtyard gate and right into the neighborhood park! Down by the stone fountain, someone had stuck a bright yellow plastic pinwheel into the dirt flowerbed. It was totally still, just sitting there in the noon heat waiting for action. I couldn't leave it hanging like that! I backed up a few paces onto the gravel path, kicked off into a sudden sprint, and zipped right past the stem with full velocity. Whoosh! My slipstream caught the plastic blades, sending them whipping into a blur of dizzying yellow circles. Pure momentum!
