Evening Drum and Blanket
My plush arms were happily tired from making drum beats all afternoon. Carrying my little wooden spool drum over by its stretchy red band, I waddled under the low parcel shelf to find my cardboard cabin. Right beside the opening, someone had discarded a soft knit wool mitten with bright emerald ribbing! I dragged the mitten inside with both hands and pushed my round spool drum right into the thumb opening. It made a snug little headrest with a springy red cushion! Leaning back against the sturdy cardboard wall, I settled into my soft woolly nest, listening to the quiet footsteps echo across the evening lobby tiles.
