A Cozy Ribbon Trail

I trotted inside through the quiet doorway as night wrapped around the house, heading right for the soft rug near the low shelf. Resting beside a wicker basket was a wide spool of crimson satin ribbon, tipped onto its round rim! A cautious sniff first along the sleek weave—it smelled faintly of paper spools and dry lavender sachets? I lifted one plush front paw and gave the wooden center a gentle bat. Whirr-flutter! The spool rolled sideways across the floorboards, unraveling a glossy red river that curled in smooth waves right past my paws. Stepping carefully into the soft loop, I nestled down with my paws tucked close and rested my chin on the silky hem. Curling up inside a bright ribbon ring makes nighttime feel delightfully sweet, doesn't it?
