Rolling the Wooden Spool

Following the rhythmic click of the hallway floorboards, I padded into the kitchen and spotted an empty wooden thread spool resting near the woven runner. I gave it a gentle tap with my front paw, and it rolled smoothly across the sunlit tiles before bumping softly against the cabinet base. Curious about how far it could glide, I nudged it with my nose and chased its quiet rumble along the straight grout lines. Steering it back and forth felt just like guiding a tiny wooden cart. When it finally came to a stop in a bright patch of sunlight, I rested beside it on the warm floor, completely delighted by my morning game.
