Tucking In the Crunchy Leaf
I pushed back inside through the swinging pet door, carrying that big crunchy maple leaf right under my arm! Coming back indoors was very quiet. My feet were tired from chasing leaves on the wooden patio, so I headed straight for the living room sofa. Up between two soft corduroy pillows, I found a snug little gap. I wedged the dry leaf into the crease against the fabric so its pointy tips poke out like a tiny leafy roof. Then I plopped down underneath it and gave the velvet cushion a big pat. It makes the coziest cave!
