I spotted a tall glass vase sitting right by the window where the morning light was streaming in. Clambering up the curtain folds took some effort, but I made it onto the wooden sill. I tapped the base of my guitar against the side of the glass. Ting! A crystal-clear chime rang out across the pane, way sharper than that ceramic mug from last night. When the breeze rustled the sheer curtain, the ringing hummed like a glassy synth solo. Not a bad spot for a morning soundcheck.
