A Ringing Morning Sway
Waking up snug inside the entryway slipper, I tipped myself out with an easy roll and followed the morning clatter straight into the kitchen. Right on the sunny counter sat a shiny metal fruit bowl shaped like a silver wire cradle. One bouncy nudge, and up I hopped! Slipping down against the smooth chrome wires, I curled into the dip beside a round orange. Every time I gave a cheerful sway, the slender wire vibrated—ting, hum, ting! It sang out the loveliest soft chime across the counter. My curved back fitted the wire contour like a glove, turning morning stretching into a merry little musical concert.
