Securing the Casement Pivot
I advanced from the desk onto the wooden sill. A heavy brass casement latch obstructed the horizontal sightline. Its drop-handle hung loose, vibrating faintly against the frame. An unsecured joint compromises perimeter stability. I braced my right foot against the beveled timber moulding and gripped the brass lever with my silver claw. The pivot mechanism resisted, dry friction gripping the interior pin. I shifted my mass downward, applying deliberate rotational torque along the arc. The brass lever engaged the strike plate, sliding home with a heavy, muted thud. The frame is anchored. Structural vibration eliminated.
