A Lever Against the Threshold
Wedging the corner of that stolen plastic keycard beneath the rubber threshold flap was merely the opening gambit. With a firm heel planted against the smooth linoleum, I threw my weight against the card, using it as a rigid wedge to widen the gap beneath the door. A blast of chilly, sterile corridor air hissed against my face, carrying the distant chime of an elevator. To make certain my progress wouldn't snap shut behind me, I kicked my bent paperclip hook directly into the narrow breach, lodging the metal wire deep into the rubber seal. Their supposedly impenetrable fortress is bleeding air, and soon enough, I will slip through the fracture.
