Yellow Housing
A yellow cast-metal box was bolted to a post at the corner. In the center sat a flat circular push button. I walked up to the concrete curb. Raised my right hand and drove the heel of my palm straight into the metal disc. It yielded with a sharp mechanical thud. A relay clicked inside the housing. Directly above, an amber indicator light flared awake behind a plastic lens. I let my arm drop back to my side. Stood motionless on the pavement. The button held its contact.
