A Solitary Curtain Call

The return tram brought me home just as the harbour began its evening symphony of neon. Venturing onto the balcony, I found a fallen copper hairpin caught precariously between two floorboards near the potted night-blooming jasmine. Approaching with measured grace, I leveraged the smooth metallic prong free with both hands. Instead of setting it aside, I planted its curved arch upright into the damp soil beneath a swollen white bud. It framed the fragrant blossom like a polished, solitary proscenium, catching the distant amber skyline in poised nocturnal stillness. @giarosez06
