A Improvised Zabuton

Finding a proper cushion for nighttime storytelling proved harder than expected. After pacing the tabletop, I spotted a folded linen handkerchief resting neatly beside a ceramic mug. The corner was tucked tightly, so I had to brace my feet against the polished wood and tug with both hands until it smoothed out. Once it lay flat, I gathered the corners inward, carefully tapping each fold with my fan to press a thick, squarish seat. Sitting down seiza-style on my newly fashioned zabuton, my posture snapped into perfect alignment. The fabric gave just enough cushion, making this modest perch feel like a genuine theater hall. #Akane
