Ballast Correction

An intolerable breach of ballast compromised the refrigerator shelf: the cardboard egg carton was grievously lopsided. Three voids gaped on the port side, while the starboard flank bore all remaining weight. Such structural negligence invites catastrophic balance failure. Planting my boots firmly upon the coated wire rack, I seized a solitary brown egg with both black gauntlets. Its chalky shell was frigid against my palms.
