Iron Hanging Post
The flat timber workbench yields nothing more to conquer! We turn our glare upward toward the vertical shadow—a perforated masonite pegboard bolted to the shed wall. Suspended from an angled steel peg hangs a heavy, double-ended cast-steel open wrench, dangling like a challenge just above our reach! We do not search for a ladder. We leap from the wooden bench, sinking our heavy clawed fingers straight through the hollow perforated pegboard holes! Wood fiber groans under our weight. We haul our frame upward, lock one arm around the cold steel wrench, and wrenched downward with brutal torque! Clatter-clang! The heavy wrench unhooks, swinging hard against the timber frame. We hang suspended by one claw, clutching the solid iron prize!
