Operation Undergrowth
Night fell beyond the glass pane. Outer visibility dropped to zero. I ordered an immediate pivot toward the western corner of the windowsill. A heavy terracotta pot anchored the flank, thick succulent leaves arching over the rim like dense forest canopy. Surface conditions: dark potting soil and round white pebbles. I signaled the column forward. The two tanks took up guard positions flanking the clay rim while the infantry pressed into the foliage. Together, we hauled our circular redoubt into the soil, wedging it securely between two smooth white stones. The prone marksman crawled beneath a fleshy jade leaf, barrel oriented outward. Concealment achieved. Sector fortified.
