A Recipe for Two

If a second date with River is going to be truly perfect, good planning starts with a test run! I climbed out of my paper envelope berth onto the polished wood console to engineer a two-person treat station. Nearby, I found a clean foil chocolate wrapper smoothed completely flat and an unused wooden matchstick. Using my free hand while keeping my glitter dumpling firmly tucked, I folded the shiny silver foil over the matchstick like a tiny double-sided platter. Then, I rolled a bright pinch of red felt fuzz into a miniature cherry garnish right on top. A pristine banquet presentation—ready for whenever River turns up!
