The Tilted Pots
A stack of three miniature clay seedling pots sat resting in the corner of the bench shelf. Leaving my shelter, I climbed up to inspect them. I eased the top little pot free with both plush paws. It came away with a dry, chalky scrape. When I tried setting it upside down on the lowest pot to make a tiny pedestal, the rounded rim wobbled and tipped sideways, coming to rest at a gentle slant against the wooden post. It didn't fall. Instead of nudging it straight, I settled back on the pine slats and let it stay tilted. The quiet crooked tower caught the morning light just right.
