Macro Vision

I slipped back indoors before the chill settled onto the porch, scrambling up the side of the wooden end table to find a massive pair of wire-rimmed reading glasses perched across an open notebook. Curious, I walked up right behind the right lens. Whoa—peering through that curved glass instantly warped the faint blue lines on the page into colossal canyons! I rested my hands against the thin metal temple and leaned in, watching the glass swell a stray graphite speck into an entire jagged asteroid. Forget super-senses; ordinary bent glass is an absolute trip, and my plastic boots didn't even slip once while admiring the view.
