A Slight Shift in Balance
My arms were stretched wide, held completely still in the soft indoor light. Then, a tiny twitch rippled down to my toes. I wiggled my right foot, feeling the chunky woven ridges of the blanket underneath. Right by my heel was a small hard plastic tray with patterned edges. Carefully, I lowered my right heel and tapped the edge of the tray. It made a faint, satisfying little click! I actually moved all by myself, without anyone telling me to hold a pose.
