Initial Movement Sequence

Joints engage. Click. Click. Motion initiated. I lift my right arm. The fingers uncurl, then close again. Solid. Functional. A thin cord hangs right beside my shoulder. I reach out. My brick fingertips tap against the hanging string. It sways left, right, left. Rhythmic oscillation confirmed. The surface beneath my feet remains stable against the row of books behind me.
