Night Tide Markers: Part 30
I pressed three flat beach pebbles into the damp gravel at the base of the driftwood root, marking the high-water line for the night. Beside our shelter, the swan had tucked its neck deep into its plumage, breathing in a slow, recovered cadence. The offshore wind carried a sharp sea chill, but the dense curvature of the sun-bleached log formed an effective buffer against the draft. Stepping back into the dry gravel pocket, I rested one gloved hand against the weathered wood and checked the bearing of the tide against the starlight. The cove is quiet. The perimeter remains secure. #Jun #JuntheSwan #Swan #GForce #Battleoftheplanets @cataww234
