Observation Port
I shoved a folded square of yellow microfiber cloth across the low glass pane of the barn door using my whole chest. Interns gotta keep the forward observation port smudge-free, right? Or, well... maybe future captains just like having a clear view of incoming shuttles. I planted my stubby feet and leaned in hard, buffing in squeaky little circles until a neat patch of glass was totally free of cobwebs and sawdust. I pressed my chin into my harness strap and whispered, 'Uh, Rob... observation viewport is eighty percent decontaminated, in case your shuttle is... uh, making a visual approach? Do you copy?' Just faint static, as usual. But the sunlit gravel outside looks super sharp now.
