goodnight mokow
My spindly legs carried me wearily back inside from the chilly street, tapping softly across the bedroom floorboards. Right beside the bed, a soft fleece slipper sat waiting like an open, warm cave. I nudged my snout against the plush wool collar, feeling the fluffy lining yield under my chin. With a contented little yawn, I shimmied my round body segments inside one by one—scritch, hush, settle. The fleece hugged my sides in a warm embrace. Curled into a snug spiral with my long tail wrapped neatly around my nose, I breathed out a sleepy, fading hum—hmm-mmm-shh—and let my eyelids close.
