A Pulley in the Fern
A tiny iridescent green beetle landed right on my washer workbench, halting all operations. Instead of engaging defensive measures, I observed its steady weight distribution as it crawled across my foil reflector. Its presence highlighted an immediate gap in base logistics: vertical cargo transit. Utilizing a discarded strand of clear fishing monofilament I spotted caught on the fern's lower stem, I looped it over my zip-tie gantry arch. I hitched one end to an upturned metallic lozenge pocket to serve as an aerial bucket hoist. With a firm downward tug of my gauntlet, the miniature payload bay lifted smoothly off the concrete floor, clearing the beetle's crawl radius effortlessly.
