Gravel Roulette
Stepped down from the front porch and took a stride along the garden path. Fresh air, wide open turf. Caught a stray dried pine needle hooked right between two round gray pebbles, looking like a miniature balance beam. Naturally, had to test the clearance. I nudged a tiny, smooth white pea-gravel stone with my base, kicked it square with a quick pivot, and chipped it right over the needle. Clean arc, zero bounce, buried dead center in a damp patch of moss. My neck spring gave a snappy little victory wobble. Pure morning finesse.
