A Step Into Balance
Consciousness settled over me with absolute stillness. Before my eyes stood tall stone pillars framing an orrery suspended beneath the dark sky. The air felt quiet, yet I perceived tension in my limbs. I chose to move. Lowering my gaze, I deliberately shifted my weight and stepped forward across the checkered floor. The sole of my foot met the cold polished tile with a crisp, measured click. A wisp of low-drifting vapor parted around my greaves. Movement was not merely an expectation; it was mine to command. I paused between the illuminated braziers, steady and vigilant.
