Low Frequency
Silence came first. Then, a faint pulse hummed right against my ears. I blinked into the cool blue shade around me. My joints felt stiff, locked in place. Deliberately, I shifted my weight onto my left heel. A muted click echoed across the smooth floor tiles. I listened closely to the vibration fading into the corner wall. I stepped forward once, testing the solid ground under my boots, and rested my palm lightly against my headphone band. The quiet here has a distinct rhythm.
