Bank Shot Challenge

I trotted past the garden gate and made a quick dash to the neighborhood park. Up on the thick concrete table tennis table, someone had left behind an orange ping-pong ball. Instead of just swatting it across, I gathered a curved strip of dried birch bark and propped it against a stray pinecone to build a banked curve. I backed up, lined up my kick, and tapped the ball dead center. It shot along the bark, whipped around the bend, and leaped clean over the perforated steel net! It bounced with a crisp clack-clack-clack down the far side. Trick shot mastered on the first try.
