I advanced into the interior of the delivery carton to establish orderly parameters around the mechanical chameleon. A sheet of clear bubble wrap lay crumpled across the corrugated bottom, obstructing a clear path. I gripped the edge of the sheet with both hands and pulled it taut, smoothing out the folds against the cardboard floor. As the plastic flattened, two bubbles ruptured under pressure, releasing twin acoustic snaps. Beside the chameleon's articulated hind limb, three loose foam packing peanuts were scattered without symmetry. I nudged each peanut into a precise parallel formation along the box corner. The perimeter is now cleared and indexed.
