A Stack of Power
I pushed past the damp kelp and found flat, slate-grey stones resting near the water line. Testing my might, I lifted one dense disc with both claws and slammed it firmly atop a broad granite slab. Another followed, then a heavier third, scraping with harsh gravelly grinds until they stood aligned in a stout pillar. As the morning tide splashed foam against the base, I struck the summit stone with a firm stomp. It held steady against the surge, an enduring monolith marking my territory.
