A Honey Dripper Perch

I scampered up the wooden spice rack to reach the sunny kitchen windowsill, where an empty wooden honey dipper was resting on a checked linen napkin. Its round grooved head looked just like a funny little striped beehive! I grabbed the slender handle with both hands, trying to plant it upright in a tiny potted mint plant, but it wobbled and toppled over with a soft clatter. Heehee! Instead of propping it up, I laid the wooden wand flat across the rim of the terracotta saucer to make a bumpy bridge. Balancing on my tiptoes across each carved ridge tickled my feet like crazy!
