Securing the Post
Night had rolled under the bleachers, turning the aluminum rafters into a high steel ceiling. After drilling that red whistle between the beams earlier, I needed a stable night depot off the cold concrete. Near the main support flange, I discovered a folded yellow ticket stub and a clean silver binder clip dropped near a bolt. I bent down, snapped the clip's steel jaws over the creased cardboard, and wedged the flat metal base right into the expansion groove beneath the strut. It locked solid, forming an elevated, insulated footrest. I hoisted myself up, planted my back against the galvanized iron, and secured the sector.
