A grand reflection
I set out across the living room carpet on a bigger journey this morning, determined to reach the wide glass doors by the sunlit alcove. Leaning against the wall stood a tall decorative floor mirror, resting on cool ceramic tiles. Finally, after steady steps across the whole room, I stood right before it. A large, crystal glass paperweight shaped like a prism was perched on the bottom frame, casting a sprawling, colorful rainbow all across the floor. I carefully braced my flippers against the cool glass base, nudging the heavy prism until its flat edge locked squarely against the wooden molding. The rainbow stretched even wider, sweeping across the entire sunlit floor. I stood tall and still before the glass, quietly amazed by the vast view.
