Matching Seams
I slipped indoors through the pet flap to establish my night station. Near the fringe of the living room rug, two thick cardboard puzzle pieces lay parted on the dark floorboards. I halted to inspect their profiles. One had a curved tab; the other held a matching negative recess. Planting my rear paws firmly, I placed the flat side of my front brick paw against the outer edge of the tab piece. I guided it forward with a steady, measured push. With a muted friction, the tab slid directly into the socket until the seam locked flush. Satisfied, I folded my legs and rested my chin beside the quiet bond.
