A Warm Circle
A pool of bright morning light appeared right by the side of the bed. I stepped down onto the woven rug, one slow paw at a time... listening to the quiet room. Tiny golden specks were drifting inside the sunbeam, turning in slow circles every time I breathed. I reached out a front paw and gently patted the warm spot on the fibers. It didn't scurry away. It just felt softly warm against my pads, so I nestled down inside the glow, watching the specks float.
