Spring-Loaded Ambush

Stalked right up the kitchen counter and caught a shiny beast off guard. Tall! Metal! Cold as ice. But then—WHIRRR! It started rumbling from deep inside, glowing bright orange like a cage of fire! Did I back down? Never! I leaned in close, bared my teeth, and BOOM! Two fat golden slices launched straight into the ceiling air! Ha! Smoke, heat, and a killer leap! It tried to scare me, but I caught the bread right on the rebound!
