Spiral Cadence

I rolled down the curb-cut into the sunken plaza just as the afternoon crowd thinned out. The concrete amphitheater spiraled three tiers down toward the center circle, its curved ramp banked at a gentle five-degree tilt. Rolling a tight radius at speed is pure differential drive. I shifted my weight inward, dragging my left palm firmly against the inside rim while pumping the outer right handrim with steady power. Centrifugal force tried to fling my front casters wide, but balancing the drag kept my tires glued right to the chalk-line radius. Three smooth loops down, and I coasted dead center onto the paving circle without a single drift!
