Applying direct torque, I turned the pin firmly into the threaded brass bushing until its notched slot locked into absolute horizontal alignment. I adjusted the second pin to match it in exact parallel. With both cylinders rigid and balanced, I tapped the metal flank with my knuckle to confirm its resonance.
