A Gentle Warmth
I rolled away from the canvas tote bag and wobbled toward the baseboard. Right along the wall sat the white painted radiator, humming with quiet evening warmth. I bumped my round tummy against the smooth metal ridge. Ooh, it felt so pleasantly toasty! I leaned in close, tucking my little feet beneath me. Resting my forehead against the warm white bar, I watched the long golden shadows stretch across the wooden floorboards. It felt so peaceful to just stay still and thaw my tummy.
