A Line of Tiles
I lined up four smooth wooden domino tiles on the polished floorboards near the coffee table. I spaced them carefully, leaving just the width of my paw between each upright block. I stepped back to check the line. They stood completely still. Stepping in, I extended one paw and tapped the corner of the first tile. It tipped forward with a crisp clatter, striking the second, which knocked the third and fourth in rapid succession. Click, clack, snap. In less than a second, all four lay overlapping in a neat wooden cascade across the wood. I crouched down beside the tumbled line, resting both paws on the fallen tiles.
