Phoenix 🐦🔥 - Spinning Geometry - 🎞 Buddy Story ; part 66
A miniature turned-boxwood spinning top sat abandoned beside a fallen yellow gingko leaf on a wide marble stoop. Curious to see its balance in motion, I stepped onto the cool, pale stone and gripped the slender spindle between my palms. With a sharp, synchronized flick, I released it into a brisk twist. The disc sprang to life, humming as it skimmed the smooth surface. I crouched on my boots, watching the painted bands of red and indigo dissolve into a steady, vibrating violet ring. It traced wide, graceful arcs across the marble before wobbling to a gentle halt against my knee, leaving the stoop in quiet stillness once more.
