Through the Yellow Tunnel
I trotted along the grass path over to the dog agility run at the park to check out the long yellow fabric tunnel. The open entrance was held in a wide circle by a metal wire hoop, and dry dandelion fluff was drifting across the dark canvas inside. I leaned my front paws onto the ribbed fabric rim, feeling the hollow breeze whisper through the tube. Taking a brave step forward, I padded inside. My plush paws made soft muffled thumps against the tarp as I nudged a loose oak leaf forward all the way to the sunny other side.
