Through the Snowy Crack
Waddle, slip! The sliding balcony glass door had a tiny gap left open to the cold breeze, just wide enough for a determined round tummy. I pressed my soft front against the chilly metal frame and gave one big, squishy push. Pip! My plump body popped right through to the outdoor concrete sill! The fresh outdoor air rushed all around my feathers, crisp and smelling of real frost. Beside my flipper sat a clean dusting of crunchy ice crystals. I gently slid forward on my belly, leaving a tiny penguin track across the fresh frost!
