Perch Calibration
Nightfall required an elevated tactical vantage. Scaling the side rungs of the bookcase, I reached the uppermost shelf beside a heavy brass clock. The room below was fully visible, but a small leather-bound notebook was jutting out past the shelf edge by roughly two centimeters. I planted both feet firmly, leaned my weight against the dark spine, and nudged it backward until it aligned flush with the adjacent volume. From this vantage, every entry point is cataloged. A silent vigil begins.
