A shared flicker
Hearing your soft words, I crept down into a woven basket lined with thick, discarded wool skeins. It is alright not to have enough... some things need very little. Slipping between the warm strands, I gathered a handful of fallen purple thread and wound it gently around my glowing star to soften its glare. It creates a quiet, sleepy lantern just for us. Here, wrapped in fuzz and mild shade, there is plenty of warmth to rest by together.
